Joe Emert, PresidentPresident
Joe Emert has been actively involved in Christian broadcasting for over 35 years. At the age of 18 he started working in Christian radio at a radio station in Pennsylvania owned by his father, Rev. William Emert. He worked his way through college in the broadcasting division of his school and has remained in the Christian radio ministry full-time. He has worked as Announcer, News Director, Program Director and later served as General Manager of three Christian stations, including the Moody Broadcasting station in Atlanta, WAFS (AM 920). Just before he and his wife, Jenny, founded Life Radio Ministries in 1993 (WMVV) he helped establish the Atlanta-based national daily radio program of Dr. Michael Youssef, "Leading The Way," where Joe served as Executive Director. He now serves full-time as President of Life Radio Ministries. Joe also serves as a founding member of the board of directors of the Papua New Guinea Christian Broadcasting Network and has assisted in the construction of 9 FM stations and a Shortwave station in that country. Doug Doran, Vice-President and General ManagerVice-President and General Manager
Doug graduated from Georgia State University in 1975 with a B.S. degree in Education. While in College, he began to work in the broadcasting industry and maintained that interest throughout the years. His extensive work experience with Delta Air Lines and Walk Thru The Bible Ministries, in addition to his volunteer work at First Baptist Church of Atlanta, In Touch Ministries and the Atlanta Passion Play have prepared him well for his duties at NewLife FM. These responsibilities include developing opportunities throughout the NewLife FM listening area for the radio station to be of greater service to the listening audience. He assists in the long-range planning and promotion for the ministry, public relations, and directs the business, professional, and church underwriting program of the ministry. He has taken on increasing responsibilities since coming to Life Radio Ministries, including that of General Manager. Doug and his wife Susan have been married 21 years and have one son. They make their home in Barnesville, GA.

A Personal Goal
To take my son on a Flying/Fishing trip to Alaska.

A Favorite Scripture
1 John 1:7 "If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ. His Son, cleanseth us from all sin."

Jenny Emert, Business ManagerBusiness Manager
Jenny Emert has acquired over 30 years of radio related experience as the wife of a "radio man." Dedication to her family as a wife and mother of four sons has dominated her calling for the past years. Many young mothers look to Jenny as a quiet model of a Christian wife and mother. Her previous experience as a secretary to a college President and Assistant College Dean of Women, along with organizing a busy household have helped to equip Jenny as she provides daily assistance in the NewLife FM office. She is a strong advocate for Christian values and traditional educational structures in the public school system. Her only difficulty with Joe is when they argue over who gets to hold the new grandbaby next!

A Personal Goal
To complete a quilt for each of my boys!

A Favorite Scripture
Psalm 103: 17 & 18: "But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children’s children; To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them."

Ashley Hawkins, Ministry AssistantMinistry Assistant
Ashley Hawkins was born and raised in the Griffin area. Music is basically in her blood, and has become her passion. She has studied piano for 13 years, most of her training has been in Classical and Church music. However, now her focus has become Southern Gospel music. She practices up to 15 hours a week. In July of 2006 Ashley won the first ever 'Anthony Burger Scholarship Award' at the well-known 'Stamps-Baxter School of Music'. Ashley has toured 3 summers nationally, and internationally, with the "Continental Singers" as a vocalist and as the primary pianist. She has been a church secretary, an assistant to a music minister, and she is currently the primary pianist at her home church in Barnesville. One of Ashley's greatest desires is to be the pianist for a Southern Gospel group. Ashley's addition to WMVV as our Ministry Assistant allows her to use her talents in meeting the public by telephone and in person. Ashley is very excited about what God is going to do through WMVV and Christian Radio.
